A simple question for you all. We are in the process of upgrading from Moodle 3.0.x to 3.2.x and noticed that the self enrolment and group enrolment keys implement different default password policies. Before I explain further, please note that these really are the defaults: I installed a fresh version of Moodle 3.2 from the site and can confirm the defaults.
So: by default Self Enrolment key's do not use the password policy (1 upper, 1 lower, 1 special etc), whilst the group enrolment key does. Is there a reason for this?
For those wishing to check: groupenrolmentkeypolicy is the group key site admin setting: Default yes and enrol_self | usepasswordpolicy is the self enrolment, default No.
We couldn't work out why they should be, by default, different. Is there any reason?
