Has anyone found a way of being able to embed something like metadata into courses, activities and resources that would enable Global Search to pick up alternative spellings or search terms?
As an example. We have a Health and Safety course. If you search for "Health and Safety" Global Search finds it. A number of people are searching for "H&S", "HandS" and because these don't appear in the content, Global Search doesn't find it.
I would also like to add different tags to courses that would work in the same way so the Health and Safety course could also get included for searches for "Display Screen Equipment", "DSE", "HSE","Risk Assessment". I have looked at the tag function in Moodle but can't see any real world use.
I'm using Moodle 3.1.
