DropBox repository warning

DropBox repository warning

since upgrading my Moodle site I can't use the DropBox respository anymore. When trying to upload a file from the file picker and login in to Dropbox from that environment, I get this warning :

Error (400)

It seems the app you were using submitted a bad request. Invalid redirect_uri. When response_type=code, only localhost URIs can start with "http://"; all others must start with "https://". Moodle version 3.2.2.

Indeed I can't use http:// as a redirect URI in Dropbox environment. Should I  allow my Moodle site to use https://? If so, how? But hope this isn't necessary.

Hi Angelo,

What version of Moodle were you upgrading from?

It seems Dropbox released a new API some time ago and the Dropbox repository was migrated to use it (MDL-52051). I'm not absolutely certain, but unfortunately I think it probably does require your site to be https. Please see the documentation Dropbox repository for details of how to configure it.

I don't think it is about new Dropbox API, as I am migrating Moodle 2.6 to 3.3 and it is still working on 2.6 version while giving me "Invalid redirect_uri" error on 3.3 version. It is something wrong with new Moodle.
