could you open the Developer Tools on the browser to look for any JavaScript error e.g. preventing the loading?
That log could be a connection closed by the browser (or by the server).
Does it happen when the site in under some load or even e.g. in the night?

I'm a little late to the party, but javascript and flash settings have impacted my ability to see such videos when using Chrome, especially when trying to access the site from a new/unconfigured computer.

yes Flash could be an issue: chrome://settings/content/flash or, if you're in a Windows Domain, ask for a GPO to properly set https://www.chromium.org/administrators/policy-list-3#DefaultPluginsSetting.
