Good that you have it working now.   Yes, spaces are little devils in more than one area of config.   Good that you have learned that now which means that little bit of knowledge will be among your checklist when it comes to trouble shooting.

SELinux ... I'd set it to permissive now.   That won't block Moodle from moodledata.  That setting will 'complain' to server logs ... apache maybe and to secure log.   In reading the 'complaints' it will give you some advice and point you to some selinux tools - which you might have to install later.

After running the site in permissive for a long time ... and after selinux quits complaining ... if you tweaked those selinux settings as per suggestion, then one could set selinux to enforcing.

Right after doing that, be a good idea to check the site ... especially in those areas where you made tweaks/new rules/settings for moodle to be able to do.

All working ... fine ... set seLinux to enforcing.

SeLinux, BTW, is one of those apps that would require reboot of server when changing the settings ... disabled -> permissiive and -> back to enforcing.

The only other time for reboot ... update to kernel.

It's one of the reasons I switched from Windows NT 4.0 to Linux many, many, many moons ago! smile
