General help

Hi, it seems it was decided recently that discussion topics that haven't had activity for more than a year have been locked, with users being directed to start a new thread. I'd like to respectfully request that the forums revert to the way they were before this change. Sometimes it is quite handy to be able to resurrect an old thread. Moreover, it just creates confusion when there are multiple threads on the same topic, which is the result when users have to create a new thread to continue discussing an old issue. Thanks.
