I wounder why despite setting my session driver setting in my config.php file to memcached it still writes to the mdl_sessions table for every page reload. I am using Moodle 2.9.7. Isn't this defeating the whole purpose of using alternative session drivers? I even tried setting "$CFG->dbsessions = false" as suggested by some old posts. Any insight would be appreciated.

Hi Alfie?
I'm having the same in 3.1.
Have you got any reaction?
I can not find anything related in the tracker.
Thanks anyway!
Dino.
