This maybe a strange one with the ldap sync if I use in the context ou=users which part of the MS AD it will not work the login fails

Then I tested by creating another ou called test moved a single user to that ou change the context to ou=test it now wors peferctly

Any way to get ou=users to work

Hi Frank,

Make sure the settings under Bind Settings, the Distinguished names are correct.

Also under User lookup types, User type is MS Active directory (I take thats what you have??)  Also User Attribute you can set it to SamAccountName.  Finally, the search subcontesnts should be  YES

I got fixed by changing the bind settings from ou=users to cn=users
