Hi, I've had a look at these plugins for writing chemical formulas and mechanisms directly into moodle but haven't used them yet. We use lots of chemistry quizzes but before I upload them into moddle I create them in Word and use ACD labs ChemSketch (freeware) to create the diagrams and formulae. These can then be pasted into the quiz as picture files. I've attached an example.
