statistic tools

because we want to generate stats with regard to activities etc.

we test the MOCLog plugin, which is a very old Plugin that works as

an add on to GISMO. Reading the description, I found that MOCLog

transfers the data from the database table mdl_log to

the table mdl_block_moclog_log. However, mdl_log is never populated.

That is probably due to our Moodle version ( Moodle 2.9.8) ?

So it could be too young for MOCLog.

My question is wether the table mdl_log  is obsolete  in Moodle 2.9 ?

so MOCLog can never function?

In case MOCLog is not installable ... do have recommendations with regard

to alternatives.Such as

https://moodle.org/plugins/report_customsql

Our goal is to track user data side wide for all courses. We want to collect

data for several terms. If possible also for terms in the past.

Are Ad Hoc Reports on the basis of SQL the means of choice ?

Or are there working Add ons to Gismo ?

Thanks beforehand for your answers ..!

The log format changed with Moodle 2.7, so any reporting tools you use need to have been updated since then.

If only site administrators need to view the reports or you will schedule them to run automatically and email to specific individuals, Ad Hoc Reports is a good choice. If you need instructors to have access on demand to reports about their own courses, try Configurable Reports.

I hope this helps!
