Would you want to hide this option for all users or just for a specific role?

In any case, find the appropriate role in Site administration > Users > Permissions > Define roles and edit the role you need changed.

Uncheck the following permissions to get that done (but keep track of what you unchecked):

gradereport/overview:view

gradereport/user:view

These are both by default set to allow for student roles, but if you want to hide the grade report (site or course), this is where you could do this.

Thank you for your reply!

I would like to disable it for both  the editing teacher and the students.

I have already disabled those permissions in both roles.

Unfortunately, the "grades overview" still appears when logged in as an editing teacher.

I reckon I can edit the language file so that the link doesn't become so obvious, but I'd prefer to erase it.

Did you also have a look at the other gradereport capabilities for this role? A teacher has a lot more permissions, so you'd probably have to disable them all to get rid of the link in Reports.

And... did it work for the Student role?

It did work for students!

I have gone through the whole list of permissions and I can't find the one that does the trick.

Anyway, I have already changed the link text to a single dot. It will do for now.

Thank you or all your help, Joost!
