I have recently experienced problems with image size in Moodle when migrating from one domain to another - and I still do not understand why, which irritates me.
We use professional pictures for most of our Moodle activities and normally download the smallest size available (max. 100 kB). We usually choose a size of maximum 500x500 (depending on the auto size) when we upload the images to Moodle.
However, it turned out that our images still were too big when migrating the entire content of our website to a new domain, which caused us a lot of problems.
What annoys me most is that I don't understand the reason. I can read that Moodle recommends to resize the pictures before uploading, but I do not understand why the combination of (limited kB) + (Moodle image size 500x500) did not work out.
I know this might be a stupid question...sorry.
