How do do you ensure that their content is accessible in Moodle?

Hello Moodle Community,

When creating assignments and posting material in Moodle, I often think of accessibility. I teach now literacy  learners and they need information to be chunked so that they could understand it better.

What features in Moodle do you use to make sure that your content meets accessibility or UDL in general?

Thanks,

Tetiana

I think there are several aspects to this...

  • Legislative and policy requirements, depending on country
  • Accessibility standards and guidelines
  • Instructional design
  • Use of Moodle's activities, resources and plugins

If you haven't already seen it, here is some useful reading about accessibility and Moodle...

And here are open/unresolved issues in the Tracker relating to accessibility
