datasets/wildcard - quick question

Hi

We have a quiz that uses the above, in one quiz there are 9 questions and if the student fails one question they are asked to retake it, however when they go into the quiz the questions are all represented with new variables, we just want them to retake the one question they failed either with same or new variable.

Is this possible? if so how do we achieve this ?

NB We are using Moodle 2.7.19

many thanks

Marc

Instead of giving them multiple attempts at the quiz, maybe look at the interactive question behavior.  This can set up to allow them multiple attempts at each question and you can assign a penalty if they miss it the first time.

Question behavior is a dropdown list in the Quiz Settings.

In the questions themselves, you can set any penalty for wrong answer and the number of hints = number of reattempts (e.g. one hint, equal two total attempts).
