I want to display a pop-up message or reminder in a particular course. This message or event reminder should display till due date. please help me how can I achieve the said functionality.
The only thing I can find was this https://moodle.org/plugins/local_globalmessage. It doesn't appear to be actively maintained and is site wide rather than course based.
You also don't mention the conditions that would cause the message to be displayed.
I think you might need to find a developer to create such a plugin for you. The above plugin might give a starting point.
Off the top of my head, add a label to the top of the course and use access restrictions to show/hide on a given date.
