Dataform (plugin)

I haven't actually used this module yet, but I wonder if Dataform field access feature allows a scenario when participants create new records and those records are locked from further changes by the instructor, once the instructor processed them. I looked at the documentation, FAQ, searched this forum, but I do not see a clear answer. The participants should be able to see the entries further, just not edit them anymore.
