Default Dashboard does not seem to work

Moodle 3.1

I set the default dashboard for new users as described in https://docs.moodle.org/29/en/Dashboard#Setting_the_default_Dashboard_for_new_users

Then I create a new user, to test the functionality. Unfortunately, the new user doesn't see the Dashboard as set by the admin. More exactly, all the blocks added by admin are present, but some of them are in the wrong place. I mean the three central blocks highlighted in red in this picture appear on the right when the user logs in and uses its own Dashboard.

Any ideas on that very helpful.

If I recall correctly, this may indeed be the case: the blocks an admin wants everyone to have are displayed for everyone but they display to the side and not the middle.

Hi I have the same problem!

The really weird thing is that if you add the user as an admin and then back to a normal user the MyPage shows as you wish.

See my images:

User not admin:

User is not admin - Block is pushed to the right

User is admin:

User is admin - Block is on the right position

If you remove the demo user from admin the block is still on the correct place.

Ohh shoot, now I get what Mary Cooch was saying in the comment above.

explanation:

Block settings is set to "Right"

Go into block settings and find this:

display - Content

Set default region from right to content and it works.
