Hello friends. I tried searching this all over and I was unable to come up with anything, so I hope someone here can give me a clue…
We have one instructor who cannot use the SUBJECTS option for forum email notifications. The NO DIGEST email option works fine, but she gets dozens of emails a week and would prefer one a day like the SUBJECTS allows. If she sets her preference to SUBJECTS, she gets nothing but if she chooses NO DIGEST, all of the email notifications show up in her email, no problem. But here is why this is even more strange.
I put myself in her class as an (instructor like her) where this is happening and I was also unable to get forum notification emails in the SUBJECTS form but I was able to do what she does, which is get them in the multiple emails a day NO DIGEST option. We both were instructors in the course and both had the same issue. (In my other courses that I teach, I can get the SUBJECTS option without issue.)
So I decided to put her in one of my courses that appears to be working correctly, and sure enough she could not get the SUBJECTS option to work and was only able to see student forum post emails when she chose the NO DIGEST option. I have no issue with this, and I added her to the class as an instructor, just like me.
So I went from thinking there was a problem in her course to thinking there is something with her settings. But I checked them all out and they appear to be exactly the same as mine, which as I mentioned work fine.
So basically the problem is that this one instructor out of all of our faculty is unable to use the SUBJECTS option to get one email a day per class and is forced to use the NO DIGEST option and is inundated with emails each day.
Can anyone point me in the right direction here? It's weird it's only her, and I checked her preferences 10 times. I must be missing something.....
