Hi,
I managed to this in another course but can not find the place to tick the right box in the cloud-based version. I simply want to specify in criteria what activities need to be completed to award the badge.
I have activated the activities in the course and set the criteria for successfully completing it but when I click on the dropbox in badge criteria I can't select for this.
I must place a tick somewhere in course admin but I've searched in vain.

Hi Casper,
I believe you are in the site level for badges ( part of site administration ) instead of the individual course. You need to go to your course, to the gear icon in the upper right and then to more... at the bottom of the menu. Then you will get the section for the course badges which will give you the drop down that has Activities completion as a selection.
