Hello,
I have a problem with playing embedded MP4 videos in Course section using VideoJS player (default).
The error that occurs is “The media could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not support”
I have googled this error many times over.
My test setup consist of the following;
Centos 7.3 virtual machine with 2Cores, 1 TB HDD, and 4 Gigs Memory
Moodle 3.2.1+ (Build: 20170303)
Mysql Ver 15.1 Distrib 5.5.52-MariaDB, for Linux (x86_64)
Server version: Apache/2.4.6 (CentOS)
Php 5.6
For testing purposes I disabled Selinux and the firewall. Completed
Tested network by pinging Google.com, No problems
Video Format MP4
Apache has all read and writes to Moodle Directory and files.
I use the following instruction to install Moodle;
https://www.unixmen.com/install-moodle-3-0-centos-7/
I corrected all errors that occurred prior to the installation.
If I install URL/s for my videos they all work fine, it seems just the videos I have uploaded through the Moodle to the local machine will not play.
I have tried different video format such as “mp3, flac”, No Joy.
Tried Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and IE, all have the same error. No Joy
Installing JWPlayer https://moodle.org/plugins/filter_jwplayer , No Joy
Tried installing Video Easy Filter https://moodle.org/plugins/view.php?id=1384, No joy
Check for required plugins on Web Browser, Completed.No Joy
I do believe by default MP4 formats should play without any extra configuration/installs made to Moodle.
Everything else seems to work great on Moodle. I have no complaints.
Don’t know if I’m missing something in checking for errors, or configuration during the installation.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you
