I currently have a Moodle 2.7 server that needs to be migrated to an existing 3.1 server. The reason is that we only want to maintain one LAMP Server.
Constraints:
- On the 2.7 we have an external database setup for authentication and enrollment. The external database is MSSQL and is updated by an ERP database.
- On the 3.1 the only authentication method configured is openIDConnect through office 365.
Problem:
Need a solution to have a mySQL enrollment database on Moodle which is linked to a MSSQL SQL Management Studio. This is what was suggested to me, but I'm not sure how this should work. Has anyone seen a configuration like this? Or have any experience with similar problem?
