Moodle Mobile Notifications review

Anyone has any experience to share with regards to Moodle Mobile with Notifications ( AirNotifier) turned on. I would be really interested to know if you are big institution and if you have faced any issues working with notifications for your Moodle instance. This could either be connecting to your custom Air Notifier server or routing via messages.moodle.net

Is there a queuing system already in Moodle where if a personal message is sent between users it is queued somewhere before it is pushed out to AirNotifier and the relevant Messaging cloud service ( GCM or APNS)  or is everything sent in one go ? Appreciate that one user interacting with the system wouldn't put too much load on the system but a couple of hundred users interacting and are waiting to receive their notifications ?

I know for a fact that when you download the generic Moodle mobile app from play stores it by default connects to messages.moodle.net if you have the Access Key so it must be quite robust in handling all the moodle sites around the world ?!

Many thanks for your help

Hi,

right now there is no queue, everything works on the go.

Airnotifier doesn't require a lot of hardware, our instance works very well in a normal virtual server.
