Moodle
HQ formally introduced Project Inspire today, which will provide
integrated Learning Analytics tools that monitor and help improve educational outcomes
beginning with Moodle 3.3.
We need data from as many participants from the Moodle
community as possible to "train" the machine learning algorithm to work across all contexts. Researchers may also find the Anonymise tool, provided to data donors, useful for extracting datasets for their own research. This tool provides FERPA and EU data law compliant de-identification of a copy of a Moodle site (2.7 or later) so data can be safely extracted without exposing personally identifying information (PII).
