I just saw that the US Moot dates have been announced - July 25-27:
So, no conflict with the Mountain Moot. But still the decision to make! I'm allowed one out of state conference this year, and New Orleans is within driving distance...
But - the Mountain Moot is always awesome! I've been to the last three and came home each time refreshed, motivated, and with great ideas. The setting - Carroll College - is great, and the people behind it and in attendance are phenomenal. The best conference I've ever attended.
This US Moot seems to be a little different from the last two, and from other moots around the world, in that it is "hosted by BbWorld". Attendees will also have access to BbWorld sessions (http://bbworld.com/) - so there is that. I do, however, wonder how the "feel" will be affected. I did get to attend the US Moot in Minneapolis in 2015 (best PD summer ever - Mountain and US Moots). Even though it was larger than Mountain Moot (maybe 450 people? I forget), it was still small/intimate compared to other conferences. Both the US and Mountain Moots I've attended had much more of a user group vibe than tech conference.
Making the tough decisions,
