Just wondering if there is a setting somewhere to change the message automatically sent to users who enrol on a course. I've not found it yet so any help appreciated.

Hi Ben,
You can change the course welcome message in the self enrolment settings within a course. Alternatively, a site admin can change the message for all courses on the site using language customisation. Please see the section 'Sending a welcome message to new users' in Self enrolment for details.
