Adding Image Maps To Content Pages

Adding Image Maps To Content Pages

Hi

I have over 100 courses authored in html to deploy in Moodle 3. They all have lots of text and images, many of which use image maps for clickable hotspots to navigate between pages.

Lessons work well to show the content and I can add image maps by hand to link to pages within the lesson but its quite a manual process to code even use an image editor to draw the hotspot areas.

Interestingly the hotspots show as outlines on the image in the editor once added in html view almost as if it were possible to add them in visually.

Has anyone found an easy workflow to add images with hotspots to pages that link to other pages within a lesson?

Any comments and suggestions welcomed!

Roger

Hi Roger,

Is it possible to use a template to make your image maps? If so, the Snippet tool for the Atto editor is great for adding stuff like that to pages, or just about anywhere you can use the Atto editor.
