Glad it worked. If it helps other people in future, when you are a teacher in Moodle, there should be a Moodle docs for this page link at the bottom of each screen (unless your admin has deliberately removed it) and so I have added a note about this in the Course completion settings documentation which is linked to from the page where you set it up.
