I am the teacher/course developer/manager of our Moodle site. We are using LDAP authentication to allow our users to log in to Moodle. We are using version 1.5. I do not do any of the back end administration of the Moodle site, only from the Administration of the courses, etc.
I am interested in finding out about how the LDAP primary method of enrolment works. I do not want to use LDAP as any part of course development/management. It only handles our users (accessing many County systems). I only want to be able to manage how students enroll or are enrolled in courses. Right now I"m using "Internal Enrollment" and students enrol and unenroll themselves from courses. I have a need to be able to also have teachers enroll groups of students who have LDAP accounts on our system into other courses. Is this possible? Or do I need to go into the Moodle code and change/alter some of the code to make this happen?
In a nutshell: What happens if I change my Primary Method of Enrolment from "Internal Enrolment" to "LDAP"?
Sorry to be so lengthy!
