Our courses are valid for 1 year since they are taken. A certificate (simple certificate plugin) they can download at the end of the course is stamped with the course completion date.
After a year users need to re-take the course and we need to re-issue a certificate with the new date. Note that each user can start the course at any time during the year, so their course will expire at different times for each user.
I've done some research and it seems that when users unenrol, their SCORM activities data is deleted. So this might solve our problem. We could then allow users to unenroll and re-take course.
We found two problems:
- Users don't get a warning when they click in unenrol, so if they click there by mistake, all their data is deleted.
Q#: Can a warning sign be added that says "Are you sure you want to unenrol? all your data will be deleted" or something along those lines.
- It seems certificate data doesn't get deleted.
Q#: How can I reset certificate activity so when they click on certificate, a new one is issued to them?
NOTE 1: As users certification expire at different times, we need to do this in a per-users basis and cannot reset the whole course.
Thank you for any pointers you might give me to help us achieve this.
