Semesterised Moodle courses

Hi All

We have put together a Qualification structure on Moodle that is paced over a year.

The Quizzes have start and end times, and our student base is comprised of full time and part time students (which means there will be different cut off times for submission of work)

In addition to this students may register for the second semester and will have to go through quizzes - which will by now be closed.

In light of this should the courses be duplicated, to accommodate the new intakes or accommodate both groups (part time/full time)?

Please suggest feasible ways to handle this without compromising the integrity of reporting.

All seems a bit overwhelming.

Thanking you in advance.

Kind Regards

Jess

Hi Jessica

If your course enrollments are closely monitored, you may want to consider Grouping users. You can use the Groups and Grouping functions to assign specific groupings to the quiz, and then the Override option for the quizzes to allow access for specific Groupings at different times.

Hi Kim

Thank you, my thoughts are to create cohorts for the January/June intakes, and further create groups for part time & full time students. Appreciate your feedback!
