Path doesn't exist in your server!

Hi,

I'm almost ready to make my moodle site live and decided to setup the backup and I keep getting this error when I type in almost any folder location.

Path doesn't exist in your server!

I don't why this is or what to do to fix it or even what info about the system I should post. I originally wanted to put it in a folder in my moodle installation

/public_html/moodle/backup

but that and just about every other path I put in fails. I know the paths I am choosing do exsit. The only path I can get moodle to accept is

/etc

The server is running linux and I access it via cpanel.

Thanks

Jared

I too am having this problem.
I have created a folder in this path:/public_html/training/tmp/saved

When I click apply, it gives me that message that the path doesn't exist. I tried to follow the model Moodle gives by trying these paths also:

/usr/training/tmp/saved
/home/training/tmp/saved

Still the same message. I tried changing the permissions on the folders to 777 just to see if that would work. Same message.

I am attaching a screenshot of the message.

Only if I leave the backup path totally blank will it accept it. Is this normal for moodle?

I have the same problem with Moodle 1.7+ .

With Moodle 1.6.3 works fine.

What to do?
