Set Teacher roles then Allocate students to them

sounds so easy, doesn't it..

  • Set up a course as an administrator.
  • Enroll an editing teacher. (or non-editing)
  • Enroll a few students that this teacher is going to look after.

but how do you make is so that this teacher is only seeing his students?
( and not other students enrolled in same course but taught by another teacher)

is it "Groups" or "Cohorts"

After spending the last couple of days looking in to this, I am getting further and further into a confused state.

so far I have played around with groups.. and while this does work for the teacher to "filter" these students. I am still getting way to much information (all other enrollments) being presented to them.

So going back to step one..

Teacher --- course -- Thier students only showing...

At the moment I am loading in multiple Teacher (assessors) so I need to duplicate the above once I get the hang of it.

any quick help on this would be great..

Hi Daniell,

You're on the right track with groups! smile You also need to make sure that the course is in separate groups mode. Please see 'How do I restrict a teacher to view only information about the groups that they are in?' in the Groups FAQ for details of the capability change that you also need to make.
