Classes scheduled in new term (in PS) always interfaced to the default category in moodle

We are using the PeopleSoft-Moodle integration through LIS. Whenever we interface courses created for new terms (in PeopleSoft), the integration (Event based Integration) always creates course for the default category mentioned in Moodle.

Example: All the classes scheduled in 1601 term got interfaced to the category 1502 in moodle.

In the replacecoursesection xml, we could find the value 1601 being sent to the LIS system. (sample data source id: 000119-01-1601-1-1-01007)

000119 - Course, 01 - Course Nbr, 1601 - Semester, 1 - Session, 1 - Class Section, 01007 - Class Nbr

Please help where the mapping could have been missed/ what could be the issue?
