openmeetings: Could not login User to OpenMeetings

Odp: openmeetings: Could not login User to OpenMeetings

I am having similar problem. I use Debian 8 with Moodle 3.2.1, OpenMeetings 3.2, OpenMeetings Module 2.0.0.6 (so every part of this system is in the latest version, installed on the same server).
I can login to OM directly, everything is working fine.

However I can't connect to OM via Moodle module. I've created a OM user named 'moodle' with following configuration:

Of course login and password of OM user are properly configured in Moodle module settings.

And: while entering a OpenMeetings module, I see an Moodle page, with Openmeetings embedded in iframe, but instead of a OM room page, I can see a OM login page, as showed on image:

Changing OM 'moodle' user parameter "Type" to anything else but "user" results in receiving following error:

"Error While signing into OpenMeetings, please check credentials

-10
Could not login User to OpenMeetings, check your OpenMeetings Module Configuration"

While I change a OM user password to wrong, the error code is -11, so the basic communication between Moodle and OM is working.

OM / red5 logs doesn't provide any useful info of this issue.

Any ideas? smile

Hello Łukasz,

at first: if you use OM 3.2.0 please use the latest version of the om moodle plugin:

https://github.com/openmeetings/openmeetings-moodle-plugin/tree/2.7.3.2

and secound: your moodle om admin user should have the right "Admin".

Thanks & Greetings,

Michael

Thank you for your response Michael.

The new version from github does work properly. The only issue is fact that there is a lack of $plugin->version variable defined in version.php file.
I suggest adding this release to Moodle modules repository, I don't think that many users would look to github while searching for updates. What is more, admin privilege for OM user account, which is used to integrate with Moodle, is not required.

Regards!

Hello Łukasz,

thanks for the hint. I've added the latest plugin for OM version 3.2 with the $plugin->version variable. wink

Greetings,

Michael

I am unable to get my OpenMeetings module working.

When I run the page, it does the OpenMeetings loading animation, but then it goes white for a while before having a bunch of Errors (from the OpenMeeting) and has a NetConnection.Connect.Failed message

Any ideas? I am running Moodle 3.1 with version 2016070701 of the module and version 3.1.5 of OpenMeetings

I am able to reach the site from my external URL fine. And when I use the user login service manually I am returned a SUCCESS. I also made sure that CURL didnt have any issue with the SSL certificate for Openmeetings at 5443.

Hello. But for PHP 5.6.x do you have solutions/answer? At this this moment is hard to switch server to PHP ver. 7.x.

the openmeetings moodle plugin version 2016122801 or 2.0.0.5a works with php 5.6 & 7.0 and OpenMeetings 3.1.x.

Thanks & Greetings,

Hello Michael,

Thank you for reply. Yes, this version (  2016122801 ) works with OpenMeetings ver. 3.1, but doesn't  work with ver. 3.2.x .

I use ver. 3.2.1 (updated today). Versions 3.1.x was too hard to see and work smile .

Regards,

Constantin

I've had similar problem with creation of rooms in the OM from Moodle. After upgrading/updating OM to version 3.2.1 all started to work as espected.

Hi,

Having the same problem, described inhere: https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=369089

In brief:

  • Debian 8.6 with Apache 2.4 and PHP 5.6,
  • Moodle v 3.2.6+ with OpenMeetings plugin v 4.0.0 with the settings:
    • Host or IP: vclass.svuonine.org
    • Server Port: 5443
    • Admin User: soaponly
    • Protocol: https
  • OpenMeetings server v 4.0.1, up and running over SSL.
    • User named: soaponly
    • Type: user
    • Rights: Admin + Login + Soap + Dashboard + Root

There is no trace in any of the servers logs! How can we debug this?

This is the most I've got:

Fault (Service error)
