Hello,
I am running Moodle 2.8.5.
I recently uploaded the same multi-sco package to my Moodle (SCORM 1.2) and to another LMS (D2L). Each learning object within the package is a separate activity of one or more screens, designed to report an individual score and limited to one attempt. (NB: I understand it may be possible to override the attempts via Moodle's own settings - and that is not the problem here). In D2L, each activity is individually assignable and reports an individual grade to the gradebook.
In Moodle, while it is possible to navigate between individual activities, these do not appear to be assignable or gradeable as Moodle 'sees' the aggregation only, i.e. the whole package is treated as a single object. Obviously I have a number of options about how the grade is calculated, but it's not an overall grade I need. I need the activities to be available and gradeable individually.
I've done a bit of investigation, on this forum and elsewhere, but haven't been able to find an answer to the question of why a multi-sco package is interpreted by Moodle as a single object. My guesses are that this is either about (1) the way in which the content is packaged (i.e. Moodle DOES have the capacity to report on individual SCOs); or (2) Moodle's lack of support for SCORM 2004.
Can anyone advise?
Best,
Cath
