I thought I could do this, but can I really?

Up until this year, I was able to group students by their real names. But this year we changed to enrolling students through the LTI tool. Unfortunately for me, this has created a dilemma. Namely, the student names are now encoded, so I don't know their real names.

Anyway, I was able to at least group them into manageable groups based on their grade levels. (don't ask how, it was a nightmare)

But, my courses require all students to be enrolled in an online basics course that they have to pass before they can go on to the main courses suitable for their grade levels. Therein is my problem.

I want to now export their groups so that I can then re-import them, or re-enroll them, onto their specific grade levels. I have a course for three grade levels, and I want them to be in their correct grade level.

So can anyone think of a way to get the groups I have already made for all grade levels to be assigned to their grade levels?

I'm probably missing something simple, but I don't know how to do this. Thanks.
