Moodle Mobile app and course logs

Moodle Mobile app and course logs

Can anyone clarify the situation regarding the Moodle Mobile app and course logs? Is one or the other of the following statements true?

  1. course interactions via the mobile app do not get recorded in the course logs
  2. some course interactions via the mobile app get recorded in the course logs and others do not
If the latter case is true, then what activity gets logged and what does not? Are there additional plugins, etc., that better integrate the mobile app and the course logs?

Thanks for any information!

Hi Scott,

most of the interactions are logged in Moodle, the origin of these interactions is always "ws", you should install the Moodle Mobile additional features plugin if you are missing interactions

Juan,

Thank you. Does this mean that only the interactions that happen while a student is offline are not logged?

When you say "most of the interactions are logged in Moodle," is there a definitive list somewhere of what is logged and what is not?

thanks,

Hi Scott,

yes, only interactions that happen while the student is offline are not logged.

Regarding interactions, right now if you have the latest Moodle Mobile version and latest Moodle (or Moodle with local_mobile) all the interactions are logged.
