to raise the possibility of some of us, big developers, to automate the update of our zips in moodle.org official repository.
this is f.e my status :
Plugins : > 130 (http://github.com/vfremaux)
Having an upstream automated git process now to sync the github from the dev plant and get five clean branches for each, so having 650 branches to check.
Published in moodle.org : around 30
Up to date in moodle : a little more than the half are in acceptable state, but less then 10 are up to date.
the reason : too many operations to do manually additionnaly to get all upstream development paths clean and checked
So the request is somewhat how could Moodle HQ give us a simple and nice API to push our zip releases into the plugin base from our gits or local repositories.... and then get moodle.org plugin base more actual....
