I asked this question in general forum , and it was transferred to the assignment forum.

but I think I might find more help here

I really need to change the default assignment submission files by removing the _assignsubmission_file_

as requested from me, but I don't have any idea where to start.

so I searched for the Moodle files, and I found the text here

class backup_assignsubmission_file_subplugin extends backup_subplugin {

but I could not find the function that I can change to make the default name only number and name of student.

I am using moodle 3.1

please don't transfer this thread to assignment forum I think I will find more help here

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by 'I really need to change the default assignment submission files by removing the _assignsubmission_file_' - where do you want to remove this from?

Could you write some step-by-step instructions as to how to reproduce the scenario you have any explain how you would like it to be different?

when teacher download the students' assignments submissions, I want the name of the folders to be as follows: Student ID_StudentName
