Hi everyone,

I want to implement  my proposed framework using moodle and cloud computing.

I am going to create a course in moodle then hosted it in EC2 cloud.

Then measure the course performance.

Do you think this good idea?and how I determine the measurements matrixes of my framework in this case?

Any help,idea??

Thanks

There are a lot of people hosting in AWS and other hosts.  I was say that the majority of Moodle sites are "cloud" hosted.  As for measuring, just google or search these forums for various tools that people use.

Small setup, sure no problem.

EC2 you get about half the performance of what you pay for generally. Same can be said with most Cloud providers. I've seen people pay $200 a month for cloud hosting and $50 - $100 on dedicated hosting. Roughly you end up spending 2-3x the price in a cloud or virtual environment versus a dedicated environment. And the best case scenario will really depend on your own personal requirements.
