I set my course attendance with a daily session. The student can see all sessions and attendance record any day. Is there any way that the student can only record attendance current day?
If there is not that option, but I have not found it.

Very good point.
For students, it would be good to restrict setting of the attendance to the current day, and/or current day and past-sessions. No future sessions, however.

It would be better if it automatically recorded the students attendance when the logged into the course. That would avoid most attempts to record attendance for days they were not there.

attendance recording upon course login could be one possible option.
In our praxis (www.umb.sk) students do not work with computers at all courses, they usually set their attendance afterwards (or 'a posteriori'). Their 'Moodle' presence is sometimes verified against paper presence sheet they sign at each seminary.
Also it would be good to implement this - enable recording attendance of past sessions, when students were not enrolled into the course at the time of sessions.
