Authenticate with Moodle via Google?

I am wondering how many community members are interested in having as part of a Google apps integration the ability to sign into Moodle with Google.

I know that Google supports both open id and oauth2. Moodle now has authentication plugins for both (oauth2 and openid). How well are these working with Google? I know some of our K12 clients are running into issues with Oauth2 because it requires a Google+ account which means that you can't authenticate someone who is younger than 13.

Hello,

Just noting for anyone still interested in being able to log in to Moodle with Google that OAuth 2 authentication is now included as standard in Moodle 3.3.

(Rahul, the discussion you link to is several years old now, so probably no longer relevant.)
