Allow a student to edit a Entry from a Trainer

Allow a student to edit a Entry from a Trainer

Hello

I use moodle 3.1

I prepared a database activity, which contains already some entries.
The students have to edit these entries.
It is the problem, that I created the database as a Trainer and the students can't edit my entries.
How can I change the permission that all the students can change my entries?

Can students change entries from other students?

Thanks for your help.

I already found the answer.

You have to change the entry in the permission for: manage entries.

It is found under: Database activity administration - Permissions.

Problem: You can't change that as a trainer. An admin has to change the permission.

When changed, students can edit an entry in the database activity.

Greetings Dani

Be aware, no entry will show who edited what. It may end up with a lot of content, but no ownership.

If you need collaborative work, better use Wiki or Forum.

Or enable the comments in Database, then you will see who has contributed what. If you think their content is OK, you can copy them into your entries.

Hi William Lu

Thanks for your advice. I understand your concern. But in my case the ownership of the content doesn't matter that much.
The students name their files with their names and work title.
But the problem here is that a student could delete all the entries, but I don't think that is going to happen.
For this idea the database activity is a more clearly represented solution than a forum or a wiki.
