Sorry but can't replicate any issue when open the messages page.
Not sure where is the problem. Could be a permissions issue or some wrong server configuration.
Review the server and especially the file permissions.
I have been able to replicate this issue.
Other themes load message centre no problem, Adaptable does not.

We can't replicate the blank main content for students. Only a little issue with the notifications badge in the messages menu that is only working for admins.
Actually we are working hard in version 1.2.5 compatible with moodle 3.2 that use a different messaging system and it is working well
