We are currently building a course and we have a problem setting the quiz access restrict. For example, we have two quizzes in the course. We want the students to be able to access the second quiz 24 hours later after completing the first quiz.
We use Moodle 2.9 at the moment. The current access strict settings do now allow what we want. We are just wondering if this is possible.

You may be looking in the wrong spot -- if you want to add a time restriction between attempts, look under the "Extra Restrictions on Attempts" section -- enable it and set it for 1 day.
However, as I did not explain it clearly, the solution you mentioned did not apply. For instance, we have a multiple choice quiz and a written question quiz, we want students to wait for 24 hours before they can attempt the written questions after completing the MCQs.
The completion of MCQs will be monitored by the settings of Activity Completion Tracking, either it be getting 60% or 80%.
Not sure if this function already exists or we need to do some extra coding ourselves.

The Lesson module has the ability to be marked complete when the user has spent a certain amount of time in the Lesson. If you can import your existing MC questions and use Lesson Module for your Multiple Choice questions, then you could possibly link the Quiz Essay to become available only when the Lesson has been completed. I haven't tested this out but thought it could be a possibility for your situation.

Just noticed that in Moodle 3.1, the "Reengagement activit" achieves this easily.
