Resource types

Is the resource module handling file upload? If so, I would like to add this suggestion:

When uploading files, there is a window that pops up. Unfortunately, the window has neither status bar or address bar showing. It also has no progress bar. It is not possible to ascertain if the upload is happening/progressing without further tinkering in the browser.

Perhaps:
-the address bar (which shows progress in the browser that I use) could be retained OR
-the status bar could be retained at the bottom OR
-a progress indicator could be implemented? (More work, understood.)

As it stands now, there is no normal indicator that the upload is progressing without specifically turning on the status bar for EACH upload you implement.

All this is assuming that I am asking in the right place for this feature. I assume someone will tell me, if I am off base asking here.
