How do I set up gradebook so that students can only view their own assignment results?

It is set up that way...what can your students see?

Exactly what you say, I assume.  I'm new to Gradebook (and Moodle), and I misunderstood the purpose of hiding the grade results.  Many thanks!

Hiding the grade results for an activity hides them for all students.  It is available so that teachers can choose when to release the grades to the students.

As you are learning, it is a good idea to have a test student account that you can log into from a separate browser.  That way you can see the student view as you go along.

I found the admin option to log in as a particular user.  Site administration -> Users -> Accounts -> Browse list of users -> select a user then in the Administration block, Log in as.

That's very useful.
