Responses CVS file extension

Hello all,

From the plugin documentation :

The proposed data file extension is *.txt, but you can rename it. Note that you must rename it with a *.csv extension for import into Open Office Calc or LibreOffice Calc.

Why *.txt ? I think it'd be much easier to get a *.csv file.

Is there any reason to keep *.txt extension ?

I am interested in this point too.

A comment in the code notes that it was changed in Sept 2007 to provide better support for non-English Excel users.  It's actually providing delimited text files, so I think the heading and the help text ought to be changed.

Yes agree a csv option would be good. Thanks for pointing out that simply renaming the text file works. However there is still a lot of cleaning required in terms of data presentation.
