We are using Moodle 3.1 and our students are having issues using the Global search and receiving errors.
We have increased the maxBooleanClauses as per here form 1024 to 2048, then 4096 and still no difference (well, there probably is but its still errors).
Having had a dig around the maxBooleanClauses, it seems that this is the number of OR conditions to send to the query string for each possible resource/course etc.. to search through.
Looking at our SOLR admin insterface, we have over 26,000 documents in SOLR to be searched through.
Has anyone tried increasing the maxBooleanClauses to that kind of figure (I was suggesting 32,000) and if so what did that do to the performance? Does this performance only hit when you are searching? What about when others are searching?
Any feedback/input would be greatly appreciated.
