I'm scratching my head over an issue with cohorts and group enrollment by CSV upload, and thought I would put it out to the community ...
I would like to start using cohorts to enroll students on course pages. However, I would also like to be able to add students to groups on courses via CSV upload. This has the effect of 'doubly' enrolling the students on the course - as manual users and by cohort sync.
I thought about hiding manual enrollments on the enrollment methods page as it would have the desired effect i.e. students are put in to groups, but if they are removed from the cohort they no longer have access to the course. BUT, I still want course administrators to be able to enrol teachers manually.
We're talking about many many groups, and a good few teachers and administrators, and several hundred students, so I'm looking for a solution that won't confuse course admins too much.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be gratefully accepted!
